The ice maker in the bottom of the freezer is leaving a chunk of ice on one side in the front. I don't know if a part is broken or if it is leaking or? I appreciate any assistance you can give me.

Is there a filter on this ice maker? My daughter recently bought a house with a KitchenAid refrigerator with this ice maker and the ice leaves a mild taste in your mouth. This is why i was wondering if there is a filter on this model. Or any ideas of why she would be having this problem? Thanks

Thank you for your question. There are no belts listed for your refrigerator, but there is an o-ring seal that is used for the drain funnel on the freezer floor. If it is loose, it will need to be replaced. The part number listed under your model number for the o-ring seal is PS11747930.
