Dryer timer wasn’t working with auto dry or time dry
When I ordered it in the email receipt were directions- just click installation instructions- I also looked at u tube video by just typing in GE Dryer timer repair. It took longer to clean the floor where the dryer sat for years since we never move it. Cleaning time is included in the 15 minutes— You will feel great since just saved a ton of money. So glad I found you for future issues with appliance repair. There are U Tube videos to fix everything. Robert Maheu Huntington Beach

Start switch was stuck in the on position internally. By the way this is for a gas dryer not listed in your appliance type
Un plugged dryer from wall - pulled off knob - Unscrewed 4 screws on top of panel - Opened panel by pulling it forward - Removed 2 leed wires - removed switch by turning switch counter clockwise - installed new switch put the wires back on and screwed the panel back on. Done deal.

Knob broke because Timer stopped working
Ordered & received new Timer & Knob. Disconnected dryer from power.
Located screws on back of dryer console & removed screws so console could be tilted forward.Used cell phone to take picture of timer with connections to keep track of where to reconnect wires. Unsnapped connections to timer. Removed old timer and attached new timer. Attached new knob to front of console. Plugged dryer back up to power and tested by turning new knob. Reattached console with screws. Done!
