Wires wee very rusted and some almosth rusted through.
The lower dishrack just lifted out and the new one placed in. The upper rack had stops at the end of the slides which could be removed with the help of a flat blade screw driver, old rack slipped out, new rack slipped in and the stops replaced on the end of the slide which keeps that upper rack from coming al the way out of the dishwasher. There was a link to a "how to do video" on the email order confirmation. It just gave me reassurance that I could easily do the job.

Racked rusted out
Simply removed the old rack and installed the new rack.....easy as 123 ABC. Dishwasher still works fine but the bottom rack had rusted out. Not sure if this is common for this Hotpoint dishwasher as my deciding factor to order from here was that others had the same problem as me.

Leaking Dishwasher
Replacing the two corner baffles was the third attempt to stopping the leak. I first replaced the door seal without removing the inner door and the leak did not stop. Then I removed the inner door, reinstalled the door along the bottom and added the small seal required at the lower center portion which is separate than the longer door seal. Still leaked! Then I replaced the corner baffles and alas., the leak stopped. I would recommend that all seals be replaced at the same time. Total cost about $40.00 and can easily be done in one hour or less. I ordered the parts And they arrived remarkably in les than 24 House with regular delivery. Very pleased with Parts Select instructions and service!

GE Dishwasher leaking
Inspected the old gasket. Removed, cleaned, re-seated existing gasket. Tested and found smaller leaks. Purchased and installed new gasket. Majority of leaks stopped but some detergent still leaks. Unsure what the problem is with that but the main leaks have been fixed. Dishwasher is less than 5 years old. Thank You.

Water leaking from bottom left corner door
The baffles looked worn so I started with replacing both of those. This did reduce the leaking from the left corner but did not totally stop it. I then decided to replace the door gasket so I put in an order for one and it came the following day. This was also very easy (no tools required). I just cleaned really good and dried the area and put the new door gasket in. NO MORE LEAK! We are getting ready to sell our home and this saved us from having to buy a new dishwasher. Thanks PartSelect:)

Removing the end caps on the tracks
I gently grasped the end caps with pliers and twisted them toward the center of the dishwasher while gently pulling on them. They came out with some minor difficulty. Be careful or they can be broken. When putting the caps back on the tracks grasp them with pliers to reinsert. Use a small srewdriver to assist in getting the plastic caps to slide into place. Wear light weight gloves when doing this to avoid getting cut on the sharp edges of the tracks.
