installed new parts

Ordered the parts, snapped them into place on the basket and then slid the arms into the holes on the freezer door, very very simple..

Went to PartsSelect. Put in Dishwasher model number. Chose the screws for that model number. Ordered the screws. Can't get any easier than that!

The best part of the repair was how easy it was to find and order the part. Instead of searching the parts houses around town I just went to the PartSelect web site, quickly found and ordered the part in about five minutes, received the part the next day at my home and was ready to make the repair. Wow! What a pleasure for something to work the way it was meant to. Removed old switch located by prying out with sharp knife or screwdriver. Don't worry about breaking it or cracking plastic. Disconnect(unplug) wires from back of switch. Replace (plug-in) wires on back of new switch. Insert in location of old switch. Finisheed.

I read what other people had done so I tried the easiest solution--Forced, without breaking, the plastic & fit the ring right where it needed to be.

Removed 2 screws from front panel. disconnected the connector from the front panel board and removed front panel. Removed 3 screws holding dispenser to inside door. Pulled this assembly forward to reach the cover and switch. removed 1 screw holding switch. replaced the actuator ( a matter of hooking the slots of the pad over the ears. Reversed proceedure to reassemble. No problems at all

Poped ou the old switch, connected new switch and pushed back into socket.

This was easy. Removed the plastic cover at the top hinge. Removed the 3 screws at the top hinge. Lifted the door off of the bottom hinge and laid it on it's side. The part that was worn out is the "natural door closer". It looks like this part will need to be replaced every few years, it is made of plastic and was ground down to nubs. Remove the screws holding it down and replace it with the new one. Lubed it up with some WD40 to get rid of squeaks. I also replaced the lower hinge pin, but I don't think that was necessary.

Removed the top hinge of the door. Lift door off the lower hinge. Unscrewed the "natural closer" from the bottom of the door and replaced with new part. Pulled off the lower hinge from the lower bracket and replaced with new hinge pin. Replaced and realigned door. Piece of cake!

I received it from Parts Select, in 2 days and if I remember right, price was cheaper than I paid last year, at store.

Place two 2x4s, stacked on each other on floor parallel and close to refrigerator, leaving room for socket handle and extensions to three lower hinge bolts. Placed 3 foot 2x4 at right angles on top of the parallel stack of 2x4s, with one end under right hand refrigerator door. Placed 20-30 lb bucket of rice on other end of 2x4 to exert upward pressure on door, raising door bottom off of hinge pin. Removed three hinge screws. Replaced Natural Door Closer and Lower Hinge pin. Screwed three hinge pin screws back in. Removed fulcrum.

Removed the food out of the fresh food door. Removed the top hinge cover, removed the 3 nut screws on top. Lifted the door off of the bottom pin. Set the door to one side. Removed the lower hinge pin with a screw driver and replaced with new product. Lifted door back onto lower hinge pin, secured the top pin hinge with the 3 nut screws, replaced the top hinge cover and placed food back into the door. Done in less than 15 minutes.

Be sure to unplug the fridge as there is live power on the circuit board you'll be handling/removing. Trust me on this.

Slide out the ice tray, remove the screws holding on the outer plastic frame (taking the thin/flat wiring off carefully), remove the next set of screws, then slide off the mechanism. The water spout is flexible and you might need to bend it a little. Good time to clean it off as well.

Changing the actuator switch and plastic pad is mostly self explanatory (look at old one, remove, and reverse steps to put new one). Takes about 30-seconds for this part.

I simply removed the old brackets and replaced with the new ones. Can't get any easier than that!
