CTT18EABBRAA Hotpoint Refrigerator - Instructions

Pulled the two wires out from the access hole in the lower part of the refrigerator. Put them in the spade connectors on the new switch, and pushed the switch into place.

All I had to do was remove what I had on the shelf, remove the bins, replace the shelf and slide the bins back in, replace what I had on the shelf and close the door. I am so happy now when I open the refrigerator door and the new (unbroken) shelf has replaced that old broken one.

Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. I removed the old shelf and even though the new one had a slightly different texture, it fit perfectly and the two crisper drawers slid right in.

Took old cover off, put new cover in.

Removed the drawers.Took out old cover by tilting up,Put New cover back on Tilting again to set it in ,brought it down on its rests and replaced the drawers.

it was slowing cracking for a long time, and repairs with duct tape and crazy glue were a futile attempt to avoid the inevitable; a new part altogether! Well a few moments searching your site for the exact piece were all that was needed. First off, the part came the very next morning on Fed Ex regular 2-3 day service! It's an easy replacement, just drops right in and the vegetable drawers fit perfectly. I was concerned that there might be some sizing variation because of the age of the refrigerator, but it fit perfectly, perhaps better that the original shelf and it's made better and has a more useful top surface with fewer ridges. Excellent service, and excellent product.

First I removed the old cover, and the cans of soda I was using to hold it up. Then I put the new cover in, and snapped it in place. This took less than a minute, and could not have been easier. The replacement cover fits perfectly. Thanks!!

Removed the broken part with a pliers.
Inserted end cap into shelf, then into door.

I needed a pliers to extract the shelf reatainer from its place in the door of the fridge.

I found the part in the partSelect catalog, ordered it, opened the box, and snapped the replacement part into place. I then popped the Shelf retainer back into place where it belonged.

Piece of cake.

Just replace end cap and install. The beauty of this was the door was broken in the evening before July 4 when all retail had closed down early for the 4th weekend. I hit Part Select on the computer, scrolled down the partslist,looked at pictures and figured out from that the necessary piece I needed, hit the buy button and in less than 10 minutes had an order placed. July 7 UPS was at the door with the parts and my reefer was back in business. NO service call and no extra charges!!! Thank You, PartSelect!!!!

Removed the old cracked shelf and slipped in the new one. Fit perfectly. Should have done this years ago !!!!
