No tools required, but you must be careful not to shove or jam this kick plate into place as it is a plastic part and not really very sturdy. This is the second time I have replaced the kick plate and PartSelect has always been knowledgeable, polite, and helpful

I changed the bulb but it still didn’t work. I ordered a bulb holder and replaced it and it works properly now. It was an easy repair, remove the bulb, gently pry the bulb holder out with a screwdriver and snap the new one in.

It was useful that under the description of the part in the catalog, it showed that this part was often used to repair this issue. The service was great and the delivery was fast.

Turn ice maker off
Remove ice tray
Remove side panel cover
Unplug ice machine
Slide ice machine out remove bottom section
Install new ice machine

The Condenser Fan Motor was already removed due to searching for the problem. The new fan motor looked different from the original but I felt very comfortable that Part Select had sent me the new part showing original part number changing numbers over the years. Simply placed the fan blades onto the new motor lined up 2 of the holes placed screws and tightened then plugged the wire ribbon into the Condensor Fan Motor, plugged in the Refridgerator and it worked beautifully.

The instruction video on the Part Select Web Site made it so incredibly easy to install. Installation took under 3 minutes!

We removed the old switch, unplugged it, plugged the new one in and it was easy to do. But when we tried to put the switch back in we had a very hard time doing it. Eventually got it in, but if it had not been for the difficulty we had getting the new switch to snap in to place, it would have taken under 5 minutes.

Unplug refrigerator. Lift and remove cup tray, exposing the two screws. Remove both. Gently pry the plastic bezel/cover from the door facing. Remove the three screws securing the black dispenser/circuit board assembly. Carefully disconnect the three cables from the circuit board (remember how they were routed). Being careful not to lose the spring clip, remove the defective actuator. Place the spring clip on the new actuator post and reattach actuator to the black housing making sure to hook the rear spring clip hook into the hole behind it. Using pliers, pull the front spring clip hook up so that it catches on the assembly post. While the dispenser assembly is off, good time to clean up any dirt, grime, etc from the assembly and door facing. Replace the assembly by reconnecting the three cables and using the three screws. Carefully snap bezel/cover in place and secure with the two screws. Replace cup tray.

Looked up a video on utube. That was a big help. The new ice maker didn't come with a insulation guide.

The new door just popped into place. Took seconds to complete. Fast delivery too.

Can not do repair. Ordered part 3/30 due to me on 4/1. Today is 4/15 and still no part. I even paid for quicker delivery. Thanks FedEx!!

Just plugged it in

Everything went as planned except the cold temperature (freezer door switch located inside freezer) made deflection of the switch locking tab difficult to remove. Letting the switch warm up was not an option.

The switch fix but did not fix the problem. I assumed the wires go on the same way as on the old switch. Is it possible if one light Burns out, the other will not work either?

Bought new cap.
