Aluminum foil accidentally put on bottom panel ....burnt up, left non removable residue.
After 15 minutes of frustration and back breaking I removed the oven door and had much better access to the panel, from there on it was all down hill.

Aluminum foil baked on surface
Took out 2 screws, removed panel.
When you put the panel in don’t push it tight to the front or the screws won’t align. Just place in gently and the screws will align

Bottom panel burned through
Remove two back knurled screws, lift out old bottom, screw in new bottom panel. Removal of oven door (two flip out handles at hinge( makes this a little easier. Our oven did not need any other dis-assembly.

Bottom oven pan was warped and discolored
Unscrew the 2 screws at the back of the oven bottom pan in the range. Place new oven pan in and rescrew the 2 screws. I could not get the two screws screwed back in. Since the bottom pan cannot move from its position, I felt like the two screws were not necessary.

I put aluminum foil on the oven bottom panel, is there any way to get this off now that it is baked on there?
For model number 790.94334700
Hello Tpm, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, now that that is baked on there, it will be next to impossible to remove. You're best bet is to replace the oven bottom, which is Bottom Panel
Part Number: 316400601 . I hope this helps!

This "bottom pan" has two screws in the back of the pan. It seems that i should be able to remove those screws and install the new pan. Is that correct? Thanks
For model number 79096212400
Hello Dan, thank you for contacting us. Yes, it should just be those 2 screws then it will pull out. Good luck with the repair!

If we want to change the bottom of the range, is this changed from the rear of the stove
For model number cre3875pba
Hi Doris,
Thank you for your inquiry. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. First, remove the two screws at the back of the panel. If the range has a convection fans with cover over them, then this cover will also need to be removed. There should be a screw on the top and the bottom of the fan cover that needs to be removed and then you can pull the convection fan cover out. Lift up on the back of the bottom oven panel and carefully pull back on the panel until you release the front lip of the panel from under the front of the oven cavity. This is a tight fit. It may take some patience to remove the bottom panel. It may take several tries to get the front lip released if you have a convection fan on the back wall of the oven cavity. Once you release the front lip of the bottom panel, you can pull it out of the range and work the new one in. Start working the new one in at the same angle as you pulled the old one out. Back of the panel tilted evenly up. Work the front lip into the front of the frame and then wriggle the new panel into place. Replace the screws in the back of the panel. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Aluminum foil is baked on the bottom of the oven. Is there something that will remove it? If the entire bottom needs to be replaced, what is the part number? I would want to get the correct replacement.
For model number 7909415
Hi Janet,
Thank you for your question. If aluminum foil melted on the bottom oven panel inside of your oven, there are some things that you can do to try and remove it. Try mixing baking soda and vinegar together in a large bowl. Make sure you add enough vinegar to allow a thin paste to form. Using a dry cloth, spread the paste over the area where the aluminum foil melted and let it set overnight. Use a wet-dry vacuum the next morning to remove any dried baking soda and any loose aluminum foil. Another option to try is to remove the foil by soaking an old towel in water and letting it set overnight. Remove the towel from the oven the next morning and throw it away. Then clean up any bits of foil from the oven. For any foil that is proving too difficult to remove, use a putty knife and try and remove it. If cleaning the bottom panel does not help, the part number listed for it is PS977589. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
