Control module went out - causing the heating element to super heat, melting several of the plastic interior parts
I replaced the control module, and effected plastic interior parts - tested wihout heat, then re-tested with heat dry - performed beautifully. This is a pretty expensive unit that would cost around $1500 to replace new. And, Sears wanted $1500 to repair, so I saved a bunch doing it myself for about $350.

My dishwasher won't drain intermittently. If I remove the float and ball and replace it works for a while. What else could be casing this unit not to drain. I have replaced the pump already.

Hi Troy, Thank you for the question. This dishwasher has a service mode to help the technician in troubleshooting the dishwasher. Each part may be cycled to detect if it is functioning properly. Components are cycled by pressing keypads to the right or left of the start/reset keypad. Determine which type of control panel is present (flat or bowed) and then use the matrix on the tech sheet to determine how to cycle each component. To enter service mode, Press the cookware and the heated dry keypad simultaneously for 3 seconds. Hope this helps!
