The bottom oven element does not work. We tested this element and it is fine. The connections are good. Do you think by changing the thermostat it will fix the issue?
For model number CWEF310GSG
Hello Kavneet, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Oven Thermostat, PartSelect Number PS899636. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

The temperature on my oven is always far hotter than what it's set at. For instance, if i set it on 300 degrees, it heats up to about 375. I assume it needs a new thermostat/temperature gauge, but could it be another issue?
For model number FEF316BSC
Hi Sara,
Thank you for your question. If your oven is not heating evenly it likely the oven thermostat that is causing the issue. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the bake element, the broil element and the terminal block. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
