I am not able to change from ice to water because something behind the control panel is broke. Can you recommend the part that needs to be replaced
For model number gfe29hmeies

Hi David, Thank you for your question. Yes, it sounds like you will need to replace your control board behind your buttons there. That would be this part. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

Does this part come with installation instruction? Is the board replaced from the front of the fridge?
For model number GFE27GMDDES
PartSelect logo
Hi Thomas, Thank you for your question. The manufacturer may or may not include instructions with their parts. This board would be installed through the front of the fridge. We do not have any instructions specific to your model, however here is a video that we have done for another model: https://youtu.be/M_4Zx26WYq4 . The dispenser boards on refrigerators are all relatively installed the same way. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Refrigerator warm, freezer at correct temp. Making ice in door dispenser, not water. Put filter plug in, still no water. Making ice in freezer. Refrig display/temp board reading reset filter even though changed but won’t let me reset. Won’t set fridge temp but will set freezer temp. Is this the board?

User interface operates temp and lights, but does not dispense water or turn on the ice maker. Also, the light in the fridge has gone out. Should i install a user interface board or a motor board?

We replaced our refrigerator dispenser display due to the buttons being broken and now it is stuck on lock and won't dispense water or ice. We have tried pressing and holding the lock button and restarting the fridge but it does not unlock. Do I have to replace the dispenser board or another part?
For model number DFE29JSDASS

Hello Erica, Thank you for the question. If resetting the controls did not unlock the dispenser, the PCB board may need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

The lights in the frig have gone out. I have tried replacing each on at a time with a new LED light in attempt to find the bad light in the circuit.I used a multi meter on the led lights pins near the plugs and no power reading .The door switch seem to work. When the door switches are depressed the ice and water will dispense when not pressed the water/ice will not dispense. Light over the freezer still works. I replaced the main board and lights worked for two days then flickered out. I am unsure if I should replace the board at the are the dispensers next or the board at the tops of the doors near the switches. Any advise would be helpful Thank you.

On the PCB ASSEMBLY LED ICON UI electronic control board, there are 3 sets of wires that go from the refrigerator ice control to the PCB Assembly board. A 2 wire bundle Red/Black that fits into the 2 wire receptacle, a 4 wire bundle Blue/Red/Black/Black with white stripe that goes into the 8 wire receiver, and a single black(probably ground wire) that I cant find where it connects. Can you show me a diagram for it
For model number GFE27GMDDES

Hello Walter, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, there is an appropriate connector for the black wire (ground) adjacent to the two connections you made on the PCB board with the refrigerator. Good luck with your repair!

Problem with refrigerator is the fridge section of it is getting way to cold out of nowhere, temp was set at 34°F which has worked great for a long time now but here recently started freezing everything in the fridge but the freezer section is working fine and seems to be the correct temp. Tried to turn up the temp but button isn't working for the fridge section to go up in temp. What could be the cause of this and would this part help??... also I have checked everywhere there is a vent and there's nothing near any of them weather it's in the fridge or freezer. I know this part "control board" will work for fixing the buttons not working most likely, but what part or parts going bad would cause the fridge section to start freezing if it's not the control board? The temp sensor? Or?
For model number GFE29HSDASS
PartSelect logo
Hello Darren, thank you for the question. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest you replacing the fresh food section temperature sensor, part number PS304103, to fix the issue. Good luck with this repair!
