Repair of low heat of Frigidaire oven.
As it turns out the part was not the problem, The control panel was the problem. After realizing that this was the case, I removed the High voltage control from the control panel, its the yellow board with all the wire harnesses attached. The problem was that a solder on the back of the board under the 20/40 amp relay had melted away. This caused only 120v to go to the elements! when it should be 240v to ground. After I re soldered this point using a magnifying glass so as to ensure I did not over solder the joint, Problem solved. oven is working properly, keep in mind I'm a red seal electrician. This could be very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing!

If the convection element ohms out to 40 does that mean it is broken. Or do i need to replace the computer board. The oven will only heat to about 150 degrees f. The other two bake element and broil element ohms out to 0 or 1.

Hello Kurt, thank you for your question. The convection element should read 0 or 1 when tested. Since the convection element is reading 40 it should be replaced. I hope this helps!

The oven takes forever to heat up. Is the part 316211603 the same as a heating element in older stoves? Are they hard to replace? If i order this part and for some reason if it doesn't fix the problem can i return it?
For model number FGEF3057KFB
Hello Mari, thank you for your question. The element you have referenced is the convection element that is used when using the convect option. If the unit is taking too long to heat up but the elements are getting red when in use the issue is probably the temperature sensor probe PartSelect Number PS1528542 or the electronic oven control Part #: PS3493248. We would recommend replacing the sensor first. I hope this helps!
