plugged Detergenent Pump & noisy Blower
Access to the parts was easy. Simply remove the outer door cover.
The only problem was that I had to disassemble and reassemble the dishwasher two times. Other than that, the actual repair was very simple; remove the old, replace with new and test with the built in diagnostic.
Loud noise during the drying cycle at end of wash.
Power off. Loosen screws under door with door closed. Open door, remove Philips screws, slide off door. Remove and replace motor. Note: the motor I replaced had identical resistance readings as the new one but was still bad. The old motor can also be disconnected and powered from a 110v outlet in ur house. Under the kickplate I found a folded up paper with an electrical diagram and the function test to test individual motors and pumps.

Dishwasher was noisy during drying cycle.
The noise came from the dishwasher door. Removed the Phillips screws from the door edge to gain access by separating the front of the door. Had to disconnect some of the electrical connectors to allow more access. Disconnected the blower motor connector. Removed the screws holding the motor assembly and removed the blower motor. Installed the new blower motor and reconnected the electrical connectors. Reassembled the door and cycled the dishwasher. Very quiet now!

How do I remove the dishwasher door cover to access the blower motor. I have 4 phillips head screws on both sides and 4 at the top. And none at the bottom. I have seen videos of other models but not mine. It is the stainless steel model with control pad on very top part of door. Not visible looking straight on. Thank you. I'm hoping it is just those 12 screws because if this gets too complicated I wont order the part and will call the expensive GE repair guy. I like to think I can safely do this though, with the power breaker switched off. Have replaced ice maker and valves on the fridge last year. With no problem.

Hi Mark, Thank you for the question. Looking at the diagrams and the parts, you should be able to remove the panels by removing the 12 screws. Hope this helps!

Won't start. Has power. Only "delay hrs" and "steam" buttons work on op panel. Tried power off reset, no change. Metered door switch on door latch, checked OK. Can't make any change in symptoms.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
