How is the cooling fan attached? (part 32) on the diagram, i do not see any screws. I have the cover open and it appears to be screwed from the back? Does this mean i must pull the oven out to get at these screw?
For model number PT956BM2BB
Hello Peter, thank you for your question. Yes in order to remove the cooling fan, you will need to remove the oven from the wall and access the fan from the rear of the unit. I hope this helps!

The fan is not working in our GE wall oven. How can one determine whether the problem is the fan or a defective control panel?

Hi Bob. You can test the fan motor with a multi-meter. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.

After the top oven is cut off, the fan quits working and the control panel, as well as the wooden cabinet above the oven gets really hot. Is this an indication that the oven needs a new fan? Thank you.
For model number JTP75SM1SS
Hi Kaye,
Thank you for your inquiry. From what you described the fan should be replaced, but I would also check the control board to see if there is not an issue with that as well. If the I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My GE oven appears to increase in temperature after the first 15 to 20 minutes and pies which use to be cooked properly tend to overcook on the bottom. I have replace the thermostat and control board. I am suspecting that the fan is only operating intermittently. Will replacing the fan fix this issue or should i be looking at another item to correct this issue?
For model number JTP30SM1SS
Hello Kenneth, Thank you for the question. If the sensor and the board did not fix the issue, the next likely cause woudl be the fan not circulating the air. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
