Water Level Switch Specifications
This part is located behind the control panel. It helps determine the level of water in the washer. As the water fills the hose, while tub is filling, it will push the air against a diaphragm inside the switch. More water that enters the tub, more pressure is applied against the switch.

Water in washer would continue to fill and overflow
Read on Internet to diagnose and get at part.
Luckly they sent new fill hose along with level control switch
as that was problem. Visually there was no
kink or blockage. Upon removing hose, I discovered
a slit on hose which did not allow pressure
to actuate diaphram. I installed new switch
and never thought to return as savings instead
of calling repairman was a no brainer !!!
Word of caution " never force"when removing or
installing a part. It should be easy Steve, Ca.

Water overflow when set at Ex-Lge load
After moving washer and UN-Plugging electrical. 1. Remove the 2 screws that hold the Control Panel to the lower chassis. 2. Lift the Control Panel up and forward to expose the water level switch. 3. Remove the dial. 4. Remove the old switch, (a plastic tab locks it into the panel, try to release it(from the front) with a small screwdriver, (mine broke off, releasing the switch). 5. Remove the electrical connection by lifting the connection locking tab. 6. Remove the air tube. 7. BLOW into the air tube to ensure it is not blocked. 8 . Reconnect the air tube and electrical connection. 9. Carefully install the new switch into place, turning it to line up and lock the tab into the panel. 10. Re-install the dial and return the Control Panel screws into the lower chassis. NOTE: If the included air hose needs to be replaced, the time and difficulty needed to make repairs will increase.

I broke the blue stem in the water level switch. Is just the blue stem available?
For model number LSQ9549PW2
Hi Jason,
Thank you for your question. The blue stem or shaft is not sold separately and is sold with the switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hello Mike, thank you for your question. If the water stops flowing when the unit is unplugged the valve is not bad. It sounds like the valve is not compatible with your unit. We would recommend replacing the valve with PartSelect Number PS11746094. I hope this helps.

My washer is not filling with water. It spins and agitates fine. I replaced the water inlet valve and it still does not fill.
For model number GST9679PWQ
Hello Hanna, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom, besides the Water Inlet Valve and Thermistor Assembly, you will want to replace either the Direct Drive Water Pump part PS11741239, the Water Level Switch part PS3408155, or the Direct Drive Motor Coupling part PS1485646. We hope this helps.

My washer will not stop filling with water on rinse cycle even if the washer is turned off. It stopped filling on the wash cycle, went through the cycle, and started filling for rinse cycle and would not stop filling. I am not sure which part I need. Can you help?
For model number LSQ9549PW1
Hello Robin,
Thanks for your question. Based on your inquiry, you will want to look at your water inlet valve and thermistor assembly, part number PS11742194. Test it for continuity with a multi-meter and check for any cracks in its base. The part number PS3408155, which is the water level pressure switch, should also be tested for continuity to ensure it is functioning properly. Lastly, examine the water pressure hose, part number PS11741846, to check for any debris and to see if it is leaking.
We hope this helps.

My washer only fills slowly in the rinse cycle. I just replaced the hot/cold fill valve. But the problem still occurs. Could it be the pressure switch or water level switch?
For model number 110.22956 102
Hello Paul, Thank you for your inquiry. It could be either the water level switch, or the water pressure hose. Check the hose for any visible damage, and you can test the switch with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Whirlpool washer giving code f27 any help would be greatly appreciated
Hello Jeremy, Thank you for the question. The F27 error is displayed when there is too much water and/or suds in the washer. It's an overflow condition which means the water pressure switch has too much pressure on it causing the overflow contacts to close and will show Failure. If you provide the model number, we can search out the correct part number for you. We hope this helps.
