Icemaker stopped working.
Replaced water valve. Removed cardboard rear cover, disconnected one copper waterline in, two plastic waterlines out, two electrical connectors and one mounting screw. Reverse to install replacement valve except plastic water lines connect to new valve by inserting into the valve instead of threading onto the fitting. Slide the plastic fittings further onto the water line and insert the ends into the valve. FYI .......water in the door functions independent of icemaker, I had water but no ice. Working well now, actuator pad and dispenser grill were replaced due to wear [cosmetic] and had nothing to due with the icemaker malfunctioning.
Water and Ice acuator had a hole in it. Need to be replaced.
Used my fingers and pulled the old one our and pressec the new one in all in about 30 seconds. Saved at least a $60 service call.

Needed to replace handles on fridge door
I just slid a flat head screwdriver under each handle piece (between the original white handles and chrome plate), and slightly twisted. The pieces popped right off. I did this to the top, and bottom pieces covering the handle on the door. After that I used a star like screwdriver (not sure exactly of the size) to unscrew the piece holding the actual handle bar to the door. From there I just reversed my order and put everything back together. Almost like Legos. Really easy job.
I replaced the control board and the solenoid. This was very simple and easy to do. Make sure the power is disconneted before starting. I then removed the accuator pad and holder. Removed the face plate by simply pulling on it. I then removed the four screws holding the control board unit. I unplugged the unite by pulling the block connector on the left side. I then marked on paper the connections to the solenoid and unplugged it. I removed the three screws holding the solenoid the removed it. When installing the new solenoid make certain the rod to the dispenser is put into the solenoid plunger. Then replace the three screws and plug the wires back in using the connections written down on paper. I then removed the two philips screws on the control unit hold down bracket in order to remove the controll board. After removing the screws and the hold down bracket, I pulled the old board out and put the new one in. I then reinstalled the unit, faceplate, and accuator pad. I then turned the power back on and tested it. Worked like new, saving a lot of money...
broken Drawer Slide Rails, Actuator Pad worn out, Double Outlet Water Valve inop.
moved refrigerator away from wall and unplug it from electric outlet, turn water supply to the Water Valve off, removed 4 screws that hold refrigerator back cover, move cover out and removed water supply line from valve, removed 1 screw that hold the Outlet Water Valve and remove it slowly until you can disconnect electric wires. Cut plastic water lines with box cutter or cutting tool at the valve. To install push water lines into new valve, they will selfsecure, each one is different size and there will be no confusing which one go where, if electric plugs are diferent, adapter are provided, just plug them in and the plug in electric wires and then reverse the the order of disasembly to finish. (hint, before installing back cover check for leaks).
the slide rails are very easy to replace, just remove the old one with a cross tip screwdriver and replace.
actuator pad was very easy to replace, pull old one out and push new one in place.
took the old off and replaced with new one very simple . new snapped into place

The Ice Dispensing door would not open
1. Either unplug the refrigerator or shut the circuit breaker off for the outlet that it's plugged into. 2. Pull off the front panel (approx 3" x 8") 3. Remove the 4 philips head screws. 4. Pull the unit toward you and down to expose the solenoid. 5. Unplug the plug on the left side of the control board. 6. Write down the color of the two wires that are attached to the solenoid and remove them. 7. Remove the 3 screws on the bottom of the solenoide. The center screw will have a green ground wire attached to it. 8. There is also a screw at the top of the solenoid that you may have to loosen a bit to remove the solenoid. Be sure to remove the old plunger too. 9. Just reverse the process to install the new Solenoid. Turn the power back on and try it. This however did not fix my problem, I had to order the control board and install it. Then, everything worked fine. I ordered the Actuator Pad just to have it on hand. My refrigerator is 14 yrs. old.
went to the repair site, saw the video and used it to replace the parts. didnt have the hinge assembly which made the flapper stay open and thus caused the icing. recently ordered a replacement and i hope that this will cause the flapper to seat properly.

The actuator pad on the freezer door shows to be black in color but i need it in white, is this possible?
For model number TFH22PRSB WW
Hello Kennith, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the part is not available in white anymore. The only part they offer is the Actuator Pad WR2X8702 in black. Good luck with your repair!

I have replaced the ice maker which we thought was leaking water into the freezer, however, even with the new ice maker, the water is leaking into the freezer compartment. We can't figure out what is causing this - no crack in ice maker, no crack in hose directing the water into the ice maker. Do you have some suggestions about what is causing this excess of water? Thank you.
For model number TPX24BRBBBB
Hi Susan,
Thank you for the question. Soudns like you have a defective Dual Inlet Water Valve,PartSelect Number PS901314. The valve might be "stuck" open enough let water through into the ice maker causing it to over fill and leak water into the freezer.
Hope this helps!
