both light switches bad and crisper rail broken
It was REALLY EASY to ID the parts with your website. I found exactly the rail I needed, and it recommended I buy the other rail as well. Since they were both 15 years old, that sounded like a good idea. The rails installed in about 10 minutes total. Two screws on each rail.
The door switches were more challenging, but it was because there was a lot of sticky soda on our old door switch, making me think it somehow needed other tools to remove it. No, just patience and effort. Once I removed all sticky stuff from the old switch, it pried out with a flat head screwdriver, the wire plugs came right off, and plugged in the new one. 10 minutes to get the old part out, 1 minute to put the new part in!

Does this door switch control both the door light and the ice augar
For model number 36358575890
Hello Michael, thank you for your question. This controls just the light in the freezer. If the auger isn't working the auger motor may be the issue. I hope this helps.

Hi i am having a really hard time nailing down the part i need and appreciate your help (i will buy it here!)
The light along the back of the refrigerator is working, which seems to be the only referenced light in the manuals. however along the top is a circuit board with led in it, and that is what is broken. every once in a while it does flit on (every month or more) for a split second which has made me question if maybe it is the close door sensor that is broken. in any case o was wanted to figure out what that light circuit board is, and maybe the 2 door close switches and what they go to (one turns the back light on and off, the other does nothing which makes me think it may be the problem

Hello Aaron, thank you for writing. The board you are referring to is the LED Light Board Assembly part number PS12069102. It has LED lights in it to illuminate both the fridge and freezer. The two 3 Terminal Light Switches part number PS296357 for your refrigerator turn the light off when you close the door. One is for the refrigerator side and one is for the freezer side. I hope this helps!
