Changed drain hose on GE washing machine
I attached the Drain Hose Clip to the Drain Hose Extension and then pushed the drain hose all the way into the drain hole in the back of the machine. I then screwed the clip to the machine. Done. Very painless. Fast delivery... ordered it on Monday, arrived on Tuesday.

Overflowing washer
Unplugged the washer and unscrewed the hot and cold filler hoses from the back of the machine. Removed the 6 screws holding the top together. Unscrewed the 2 water valve mounting screws. Pulled off the electrical wires from the leads. Unclipped the water feed hose clip. Reattached everything to the new water valve in reverse order. Put the screws holding the top panel in place back in.

For good measure, I also replaced the drain hose since I had noticed a little leakage there. Two screws and a little twisting and pushing was all that took.

Then I hooked everything back up and it worked like a charm. Finally, I went out to dinner with my wife on the money I saved!

Leaking hose
Unscrew the 2 screws holding the drain hose clip to the machine - use bucket to get an excess water - remove bad drain line - I installed a new drain hose clip as well - make sure you put the clip on at the same position as the previous hose - push house firmly into opening and screw into machine - pretty easy repair - and I'm a novice

drain hose cracked, leaking water, when in use
It was easy, I just removed the old drain hose clip with a screwdriver. Next, removed the old, cracked hose, inserted the new one, and screwed the new clip in.
The best part about this story is the incredible service I was given, by this company. I bought the machine at Sears, so I assumed I could find the hose their. No, they instructed me to go to Orchard Supply(their sister store), I purchased a drain hose, the clerk told me to buy, but the water was still leaking. So, I went on-line and found the right hose, and now I will continue to purchase what I ned for my machine from your company. REALLY Fast Service. Thanks

Water was leaking from the tub to the floor.
First I removed the two clamps that hold the inlet drain hose onto the pump. **There may still be water in the hose** This was pretty easy, but a set of vice grips would have been nice. The space is not too cramped, but required a little bit of wiggling. Putting it on was a little bit harder, just because I did not want to tear the hose on the tub or pump inlet. Make sure both are fully seated or else it could still leak. The drain hose and the clip are pretty self explanatory. I tried to buy a generic drain hose at a big box lumber yard, but I could never make it fit right.

Hope this helps.

the hose extension had a tear
First I removed the screws that held the drain hose clip to the washer. Then I pulled the hose, along with the clip, completely out of the washer. I then took the old hose out of the washer clip and put the new hose in the new clip; I pushed the hose into the washing maching and tightened the hose clip to the maching with the existing screws. Seriously easy, took less than 15 minutes. And I have virtually no handyman skills at all!

drain hose replacement
Put the drain hose clip on (it will take squeezing but the hose will pass through). There will be a groove that whose width spacing is similar to the clip. Once that's on, insert hose and screw in the clip.

Drain hose with clamp behind washer at bottom when replaced still leaks out bottom. Put on tight, level, screws on holding clamp tight, height to overflow good. What to do?
For model number GTWN3000M1WS
PartSelect logo
Hi Harry, thank you for your question. You may have to start looking at your interior parts to see if there is an issue inside of your appliance itself. I would suggest taking a look at your drain pump and see if that part is leaking. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
