It worked
Installation was not hard, not easy, just average. Dishwasher is now back in working order. I am still puzzled why the fuse failed in the first place since dishwasher is working fine now.

Part was great, service not so much
The part we ordered was the right one and our dishwasher was fixed, but after contacting customer service for a shipping issue, I was never contacted back. Will not do business here again.

Perfect part, easy to install and works perfectly!
Shipping was a bit slower because of covid, but the part arrived in perfect shape with all the necessary components to install. Super easy repair that took only a few minutes.

Exactly what I needed.
Our dishwasher wouldn't turn on one day and we had no idea what was wrong. I had never worked on appliances before and took a shot in the dark that the washer fuse had burnt out. Replacing the fuse was a piece of cake and the washer started up again no problem. Excellent.

would not turn on
I did a search on the website and read the instructions for trouble shooting. I took the inside door off by taking the screws out. I pulled the part and tested it and found it did not in fact have no ampage. I then ordered the part on line. It came in two days, I plugged it in, put the door back together and the total time was about 15-20 minutes. Easy, simple, great instructions and the entire thing only costed me the part itself. It's working great now! And I've never worked on appliances before.

dishwasher cut off during drying cycle
After replacing the thermal fuse 5 times i noticed the new packaging came with a terminal block on then fuse harness. PLEASE USE THIS. It is a must, it supposedly is acting as some type of heat sink or something for added protection. Used the unit on all cycles now and works great. Just follow fuse instructions precisely. Hope it helps.

Power to dish washer, but no power to any LED's or power buttons.
Very easy to install the new B Metal Fuse. Removed torx head screws holding the outer door panel on the dish washer. Removed the fuse and two wires connected to the fuse. Inserted the new fuse in the holder and plugged the two wire connectors back
on. Installed the outer door panel back on, turned the breaker back and the machine powered back up. Very easy install and saved a service call. Total repair cost $24

Lights flashing on wash options, cancel would work but nothing else
open dishwasher door, use torx socket and ratchet to remove 6 screws. Pull down wash options face, find the bi-metal fuse. Used the directions in the package to replace. popped old fuse out of electrical board, Cut 2 wires, stripped said wires, attached stripped wires in housing on new part, tightened the 2 screws where new wires attach, popped new fuse in electrical board. Reattached face. Very simple and easy to do. Did not fix the problem. Had to get the electrical board that the bi-metal fuse is snapped into. Very easy for someone that has worked on vehicles or electrical things before. If no experience, then I would say it is still easy as long as you follow the directions taht comes with the part. It has pictures as well.

Wirlpool Dishwasher not getting power to panel. Outlet checked out fine
First I unplugged the dishwasher. Then I removed 6 Torx screws, popped off cover, cut wires to old fuse, stripped wire, placed wires in new part, tightened screws, reassembled in reverse order, plugged unit back in and tested. WOO HOO!
I saved over $150.00 by doing it myself instead of having a repairman come out! That's 4 free fishing trips!

No Power
The first thing I did to repair my diswasher was call a repair company. They wanted $175.00 just to look at it, so I scheduled an appointment. Then, I did an internet search for dishwasher repair. I learned about bi-metal fuses, and how to check them. I found my bi-metal fuse was bad, so I ordered a new one through parts select. My part arrived in two days. I installed it easily, and the dishwasher worked. Finally, I canceled the repair appointment.

Dishwasher would not start, no lights.
I watched the video identifying the part and the procedure to make sure I could handle this. The phone attendant was also very helpful in making sure I ordered the correct part, which arrived in one day (amazingly). Everything was clearly described in the instructions and if you have done electrical work this would be relatively easy. You will need a specific screw driver bit to open the control panel but everything else is straightforward, just follow the instructions. Works perfectly now (I needed a new control panel about a year ago and Kenmore charged me $229 but it was just over a year since then....) PartSelect is a great service!

The Power Was Completely Of The Dishwasher.
I opened yutube and noted the tips on how to fix specific problems with my dishwasher. That "steve" guy was very helpful. I tested the old bi-metal fuse with no flow and ordered a new replacement through partselect. The part arrived in one day and was fitted quickly. I used the teat meter to confirm that the fuse was ok before I installed it. The only problem that I had was identifying the part and number from a diagram which I did not have.

The washer went dead /no power during a wash cycle. The breaker is hot. There is power to the washer. The control lights will not work.Completely dead.
For model number KUDK03ITBL3
Hello Richard, thank you for contacting us. It does sound like the fuse has blown and would need to be replaced. This part is used as a safety device to protect the dishwasher circuit from overload. If the breaker was hot it could of been drawing more amps then it should and tripped the fuse. Hope this helps!

Hi, i have no power to my dishwasher. The gfi works fine and all wires are hooked up correctly. Any suggestions on which parts i may need? Thank you .
For model number GU2475XTVY1
Hello Tim, thank you for your question. If the receptacle that the dishwasher is plugged into is receiving the correct volatge, the issue is probably with the Bi-Metal Fuse W10258275, or the Electronic Control Board part number WPW10285179. I would try replacing the fuse first, as that is the more common issue. I hope this helps!

My dishwasher will not start. The 'clean' light on the panel has been steadily blinking. Can you help?
For model number mdb4709aws4
Hello Jim,
Thanks for your question. This blinking clean light indicates that there is an issue going on. Look at the heating element and test it with a multimeter for continuity; replace it if it shows no continuity. Test the bi-metal fuse as well and the high limit thermostat.
I hope this helps.

When I try to start my dishwasher by pressing the normal or heavy wash, the heated dry light comes on. When I push the start button, nothing happens. Can you help?
For model number MDB7749AWM2
Hello Travis,
Thanks for your question. The bi-metal thermal fuse is a potential (and most probable) cause, along with the door latch and the capacitor. All of these parts can be tested with a multimeter to see if they have continuity. Replace them if they do not show continuity.
I hope this helps.

The control panel's normal, steam clean, & heated dry lights are glowing, but the machine will not start. Any suggestions?
For model number MDB7749AWW1
Hello Rosie,
Thanks for your question. The bi-metal fuse is the most common issue for this type of symptom. Use a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity and replace it if it is not showing continuity. Secondly, test the door switch for continuity as well and replace it if it is not showing continuity. Afterwards, check the door latch to see if it is broken.
If all of the above parts are functioning, consider replacing the control board or the control panel.
I hope this helps.

Hello, i cant get the dishwasher to start. None of the cycles will work. Some of the options when pressed will light up. Any suggestions? Thank you.
For model number MDB4709AWB1
Hi Warren,
Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher is not starting, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the bi-metal defrost thermostat, the heating element, the door switch, high limit thermostat and the electronic control board.
I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My dishwasher quit working in the middle of a cycle. It is on the clean cycle button, it blinks 7 times for 7 seconds. Stops for 2 seconds and starts again. What could the problem be?
For model number gu2300xtvq1
Hi Barbara,
Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher is stopping in the middle of a cycle, check to see if the door is latching correctly. Also check the circuit breaker in your home to see if it has been tripped. If these are not the issues causing the dishwasher to shut off, then you will need to check door latch assembly, the electronic control board, the dishwasher control panel, the heating element and the vent and fan assembly. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Our kitchen aid dishwasher has lost all lights on the control panel and consequently will not start. The machine was not running at the time and the circuit breaker has been reset. What part is most likely the issue.
For model number kudc03fvss4
Hello Kris, Thank you for the question. The most likley issue would be the fuse, PartSelect Number: PS2360984. If the fuse did not fix the issue the Electronic Control Board, Part Number: PS11752013 may be defective. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Hi, following the instructions on the video I removed the bi-metal fuse and checked with a ohm meter and it tested fine. All the buttons come on when pushed except the delay and the start. Machine won't start. What else may cause this?
For model number MDBH949AWQ1
Hi Ray, Thank you for the question. It sounds like the issue could be with the touch pad. When some of the buttons work and others do not, it is normally an issue with the control panel with the touch pad. Hope this helps!
