Thermostat would not work
First I removed the knobs, then the plastic cover over the thermostat. Then, I removed the two screws that hold it on. I removed the thermostat, unplugged the electrical leads, and pulled out the old thermostat. I then inserted the new one, hooked up the leads and reassembled.

Freezer is inconsistent. Will not freeze chopped meat. Not making ice. We make it in downstairs freezer, bring it upstairs. Will melt and then freeze again in block. If object was not frozen when put in, it will not freeze. Thermostat issue? Water not running into ice maker, but it does run into water dispenser. It is cold but not as cold as it should be.

Hello Don, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: freezer temperature control thermostat assembly, defrost thermostat, defrost heater, defrost control board, cycling thermostat, and evaporator fan motor. You can test the parts with a multimeter. Hope this helps!

My refrigerator runs to cold. It freezes the food
For model number ARS2663AC
Hello Joseph, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking to see if the damper control PartSelect Number PS2174292 is stuck open allowing to much cold air flow through from the freezer. Make sure there is no ice build up and it is opening and closing normally. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

My Amana refrigerator would run to temp then stop; however, it won't restart even after the temp was too warm. I have to hit the temp controller box a few times before it starts up again and it will be fine for a day and stop again. Does this sound like a thermostat issue? The compressor's starter/capacitor seem to be working without clicking or trying to start. Please advise before i buy this part.
For model number SXD27NE
Hi Jack,
Thank you for your question. It does sound like it could be. I would suggest testing your thermostat to see if that is the issue. It probably would not hurt to also test your relay and your capacitor just in case as well. Good luck with your repair.
