Ice crusher not working
Remove the ice maker, motor and replace.
The biggest problem was that the part was NOT available from GE. Part Select had the part, it was easily identified on their website and it couldn't have been easier to order it.
The repair from GE would have cost me hundreds of dollars. Thanks Parts Select.

motor was not working
Actually, a friend did it with me watching. He took out about 6 screws, removed the back plate and the old motor and installed the new motor when he realized the hole on the plate that goes in front of the motor was on the wrong side! This would have been a snap and done in about 30 minutes if it wasn't for the hole on the wrong side. So he drilled a hole on the correct side of the plate, using the old plate as a pattern, and it works fine!

Bin of cubes was frozen over and I thought I had burned out the auger motor
My friend easily installed the new motor but that wasn’t the problem it ended up being the control panel board on the fridge freezer door that is the problem. No one has that part #WR55X0058 That I need and I can’t find it on the internet they say because my fridge is almost 30 years old. I’ll keep searching. My fridge still works perfectly and makes cubes. They just won’t dispense. It’s my spare fridge and I’m not ready to get rid of it.

I installed the new wr60x10262 and it just humms. Just like the old one. I emptied the ice bin so there would be no restrictions. What do you think?
For model number TFX20JRBB
Hello Gerald, Thank you for your inquiry. There may be another ice blockage near the motor itself. Try removing the ice bin completely to check for jammed ice near the motor. There also may be an issue with the auger itself, see if this part will turn freely with the power disconnected from the fridge. Also check the connecting parts that go between the motor and the auger, such as the solenoid saddle, the solenoid service kit, the armature kit and the ice dispenser solenoid service kit for any cracks or damage. Hope this helps.
If Ice maker does not dispense ice, (Does not turn), have to replace the Dispense Crusher Motor Part no. 389 in the diagram, correct?
