Easy repair and fast delivery
The part came very quickly. I was lucky in that the defective light was in the main fridge, not the freezer, and easy to access. The defective light was easy to identify as when I opened the door all lights except one flickered briefly so I replaced the light that did not flicker and all started working.

Worked as expected
Worked for my "High End" KitchenAide that installs their lights like those annoying Christmas tree lights where if one goes, none of the others work. Easy fix…watched a couple Youtubes and Voila!

Exactly what I was looking for
The LED light for my freezer was exactly what I was looking for. It looks like the original light. It does not vary by colour or brightness.. matches the other lights. Saved huge on a service call by doing it myself

Kitchenaid light replacement
Received the part in 1 day! Was exactly what I needed. The actual process to replace the light was annoying. I had to guess which light was faulty, because Kitchenaid uses a light harness system, where if one light fails the whole harness goes out (5 lights). Much like the old Christmas light systems where one bulb fails and the whole string goes out. Luckily, YouTube came to the rescue and suggested the faulty light was likely in the freezer section, which it was. Had to remove the freezer door to access the light…once done, all the lights came on. Great service from PartSelect! (Epic fail for Kitchenaid).

LED behind upper compartment of freezer failed
The hard part was getting the OLD fixture out. They tell you to protect the surface around it with tape, but try sticking tape to a freezing cold surface with water condensing on it! And it's so firmly snapped in place that it takes a putty knife and screw driver to push the prongs back to get it loose. Finally, the fixture is on the ceiling behind the icemaker so very awkward working conditions, plus and you can't see well because ALL of the lights are out (remember, they're in series). To see I had to prop my phone up at just the right angle to shine its little light on the area.
But getting it in was literally a snap. Just snap the couplings together, carefully push the wires into the empty space and slide the rear prongs in, then snap the front ones in simply by pushing the whole fixture firmly. Then pat yourself on the back!

Light out inside fridg.
Put painters tape next to light, so I wouldn't scratch surface. Worked edge of light down and out of hole with small screwdriver. Chechen wireing , light might work ? Unplugged light assembly . Plugged in new light , and reinserted light into opening . Removed tape ,, done. You can use putty knife in place of screwdriver. Be patient. Google helps also.

Refrigerator lights out
I think the lights are wired in series. When the light in the freezer goes bad several lights in the refrigerator go out but are still good. Replace the lamp in the freezer and all the lights in the refrigerator work again. The only tools I used was a 1" scraper and a very small flat screwdriver to pop the lamp assembly out. Not much room to work in so it was a bit of a job getting the wire connector where it needed to be but not to bad..

All Freezer LED lights and one light out in the fridge.
There is a good YouTube vid on how to extract the old LED without damaging the liner of the appliance. (Use a one inch plaster spatula and some blue painters tape). VERY IMPORTANT: The freezer LEDs and the one that was out in the fridge compartment are in series on the same circuit. I found out by trial and error after a frustrating start. If one or two are bad they all go out like a christmas light string. So be patient and keep replacing bulbs until they all come on. Then you can test each one you took out to see if it was bad or not by putting it back online. At first I was annoyed that Part Select may have sent the wrong replacement items but they were in fact correct. These bulbs are not cheap so make sure the ones you take out are truly burned out.

Top Lights stopped working. Flicker on/off for a second but remain off
Isolate the broken LED light fixture by pressing the door switch and releasing it; broken light will remain off and not flicker. Unplug refrigerator and apply painter's tape around the light fixture to protect surface finish from being marred or scratched. Use the putty knife to remove the LED light and disconnect the wiring from connector. Reconnect wire of new part and install by pressing light fixture in place. Remove tape and plug refrigerator back in.

all of the interior LED lights are out, yet when I cut the power to the unit for 30 sec. and then turn it back on, all the lights come on when the door is opened, but only for a short time, then they all go out again. This process will repeat itself when the power is cut off and on. I'm guessing the LED module.

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for your question. If the lights inside the refrigerator do not come on, usually replacing a light in the freezer compartment will resolve the issue. The part number for the LED light is PS16218086. We hope this helps!

All the led lights in my freezer and one in the refrigerator section dimmed all at the same time. Is this likely a control board problem or a problem with the led lights. just seems weird that they all go at one time.
For model number JS48NXFXDE01
Hello Douglas, thank you for reaching out. If one light fails, many others also fail, because they are wired in series. We would recommend replacing the LED Light, part number PS17216452, to fix the issue. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
