Easy to install and excellent service
I’ve never thought of myself as a “handy person”, but after watching the included video, it was a snap. I saved about two hundred dollars by doing this simple repair myself. The customer service person that helped me was awesome and gave me the confidence I needed to give it a try. Thank you.

Obviously not the problem
Replaced this and repeated installation 4 times and still leaking. Possibly the gasket that is in the door?? However that part is unavailable. Not sure what’s going on so I can only give one star.

Leaking dishwasher
Removed old gasket. Cleaned the area and let dry. Aligned gasket, pressed into the groove. Corners are tricky, stretch and press to get a tight seal. Follow around appliance. Inital try, small leak. Adjusted seal second use no leak. 10/10 would recommend this part. Super easy self install.

The gasket listed on your website is to thick. So after installation the door would close. I put the old gasket back in the door closed. However, the dishwasher still leaks soap after a cycle..
As stated above the repair did not go well because the gasket was too wide and the door would close. Suggest you talk with Whirlpool about the part they sold you for my model of dishwasher.

Old door gasket was leaking.
Watched YouTube first of course. Pulled off the old gasket, found the center of the new gasket and started installing the gasket from the very top and all the way down the sides. I made sure it was in tightly and smooth. No more leak, should have listened to my wife sooner!

Do I have to remove washer door to put the gasket on?
For model number WDF530PLYW7
Hello James, Thank you for the question. You should not need to remove the door to install the Gasket. You can removed old gasket by pulling it from the Groove. Cleaned the area and let dry. Aligned the new Gasket and pressed into the groove. We hope this helps!
