Replacing the control board on a Kenmore range
I watched a YouTube video and followed their instructions. Pull the range out from the wall, unplug it. Take out a few screws with a nutdriver and take off the back. Unplug and unscrew the old control board. Remove the cover from the old control board (I had to use a razor knife to separate it from the control board). Stick it on the new one (plenty of sticky stuff left), screw in the control board. Plug the wires back in, screw the back on, and you're in business. Easy, maybe five minutes work.

We pressed the bake button on our oven and adjusted to the temperature we wanted to cook the food at. The oven dinged after the appropriate time to pre-heat the oven, but when we went to put the food in the oven was still cold. The temperature was still listed as the correct on the display and the bake light was still on. There were no flames noted, nor could we smell gas. We tried the stove burners to see if they worked, and they worked properly. Did our keypad/electronic oven control pad go bad?

Hi Sandi. It could be the board but I would start with replacing the temp sensor. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
