When you put drinking glass against lever for ice or water, when glass removed you have to pull plastic lever out to shut off ice or water flow! I don't see any spring that pushes lever out to shut off ice or water. Currently using index finger behind lever so when finished the water or ice stops flowing. It used to work fine. How do I fix the problem? Thanks Jim
For model number FGHC2331PF6
Hello Jim, Thank you for the question. This sounds like an issue with the lever, The part is only sold as part of the Dispenser Assembly, PartSelect Number PS8692021.Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
My issue is as follows. On the ice dispensing part of this fridge there is a little round black disk/door above the ice dispensing lever. When the lever is pushed, the door opens and ice comes out. It is not resetting itself allowing warm air (room air) to enter into the ice making section of the freezer causing frost to build up and also allows the ice in the dispensing shoot to warm up a bit and form large chunks of ice that prevents the dispensing parts from moving. Everything freezes up. I looked on the parts diagragm however i am not sure as to which parts would i need to purchase that will allow this door to reset after each time ice is dispensed. Hope someone can guild me on this
For model number PHS69EJSS2
Good Day Scott. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit (Model Number PHS69EJSS2). Based on our research ice may have melted and frozen around auger due to infrequent use, temperature fluctuations, and/or power outages. The solution to this that is provided by the manufacture is as follows: Remove ice container, thaw, and empty the contents. Clean container, wipe dry, and replace in proper position. When new ice is made, dispenser should operate. Hope this helps. Best Regards.
