Clutch drive wore out and was making a clunking noise during operation.
I removed the front cover and the top cover. Then I unplugged all the, wires and removed the hangers. Then removed tub and drum together out the front. After beating on the tub nut for 2 hours and drenching it in liquid wrench I realized that the,tub nut was not going to release. Yes I was turning it clockwise. I bring out my chisel and hammer. After removing the, center shaft I chisel the, tube inward till I could get to the nut. Then I chisel the,tub nut into 3 pieces. It then appeared why it wasn't coming loose, earlier the powders, had gotten below the nut and had it cemenred on. So those youtube videos, are helpful to an extent.

Is there a bearing in the drive pulley that could be making loud noise in spin cycle. Already replaced shaft
For model number GTWN2800D1WW
Hi Todd, thank you for your question. There is no separate bearing unfortunately. The pulley directly connects to the drive shaft and tube assembly. It could be that the inner part of your drive pulley has worn down a bit and that is the cause of the noise. You might actually be able to see that if you visually inspect the part. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

What would keep causing my belt to come off
For model number GTWN4250M1WS
Hello Ryan, Thank you for your inquiry. The most common causes are a damaged or loose belt, or a damaged or loose drive pulley. We recommend checking the belt for any fraying, and check the pulley nut holding the pulley to the shaft and mode shifter assembly. We also recommend checking the threaded end of the shaft if the nut is not staying snug. Good luck with your repair.

How much slop should there be between the drive pulley and the shaft and drive tube assembly. When I turn the drive pulley by hand it takes a bit before it will engage and rotate the tub and make a noise when it engages.
