when turning oven on code f9 comes up, I have replaced the thermostat and temperature sensor with no change, heating element not coming on. this all started when cleaning oven 9(self cleaning) at night-oven cleaned but would not come on the next day thanks Harry
For model number lg oven lre3021st
Hi Harold, thank you for the question. According to our research, when the LG oven’s display panel shows the error code f9, it means the oven failed to exceed 150 degrees Fahrenheit after 5 minutes of preheating. We would recommend resetting the oven by disconnecting the power for five minutes. This will demagnetize the circuitry and resolve the f9 error. If this does not help, then you may need to check the relay control board, part number PS8751324, to fix the issue. The relay control board responds to signals from the microprocessor display control board in the control panel by opening and closing relays to control voltage going to the burners, elements, or oven. If the oven is turning on but not heating sufficiently and flashing an f9 error, you will need to test the relay board with a multimeter to determine if it needs to be replaced. We hope this information is useful!

Every now and then I get an F9 code. But mostly it is VERY slow to get up to heat. Only shows about 1/2 of the upper element lite up on the display. Thank you
For model number LRE3194BD
Hello Charley, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the F9 error code indicates that the oven is not heating properly. Press the clear/off key and try the original function again. If the error code reappears, turn the circuit breaker to the unit off and wait 30 seconds before turning it back on. If this does not help, then we would recommend replacing the temperature sensor, part number PS11732697, to solve the problem. We hope this information helps!
