Fast shipping
The part arrived fairly quickly but I wish they included a quick little diagram as to proper orientation for installation, it is easy enough to figure out but would be nice to have that re-assurance that you are doing it the right way.

Mixer was making clunking sounds and shaking
I removed screws in a sequence that I felt wouldn't further damage the mixer until I had it completely unassembled. When I found the broken worm gear, I went online to find a part. I found an exploded view, but the part numbering was old, and the salesperson couldn't tell me what the worm gear and bracket assembly consisted of, as I only wanted the worm gear. After trying to drive the pin out of the assembly, and failing, I decided to back online and see if anyone else had a photo of the assembly. Luckily (and wisely) PartSelect, com did and that answered any questions I had. The price was better, too. Reassembly of the mixer was a cinch with the exploded view. It's working like new, and we're hoping for another 35 years of service from it! Thanks.

It stop working, mixer motor is not turning.
1st I check if there is a burnt smell, there was burnt smell from the board phase. Check the motor brush. Surely enough they're at max (not touching the motor anymore). Replaced both parts, put everything back together. Tested it, it works like a charm. It's been working for the last 2 weeks now!

my Kitchen Aid mixer had one speed - HIGH!
I actually didn't do the repair. I asked a friend who was a carpenter about what he thought was wrong with my mixer since it only had high speed which made mixing flour a snow storm. He said when his tools do that, it's the brushes. He ordered new ones and presto - my mixer works marvelously. He saved me from dumping a good mixer and $$$$$$$.

I broke the motor brush when I was taking my mixer apart for some serious cleaning
unscrewed the screw holding the old brush. carefully removed the spring and old broken brush. we did have some of the old brush left inside, so my husband used a very thin drill bit to break it up. then carefully inverted the stand mixer to allow the broken pieces to fall out. then we were able to install the new brush. works great. yeah!!

I removed the spring loaded brush screw on the side of my mixer and lost it the next day. I found a schematic of this part on your website and ordered the four pieces that make up the brush screw(?). They arrived in just a few days and I referred back to the schematic to put it together. I then popped it in my mixer, screwed it down, plugged her in and away we go! Easiest repair I’ve ever done! I’m a 70 year old retired lady and not very handy, but this was an easy fix! Thank you, PartSelect!

Motor did not turn on.
I removed the excess of grease to clear all parts. Then I installed new mechanical parts. Finally, I installed all electrical parts. I followed a logical sequence of removing and installing steps. Tip: Never remove parts without a logical order of sequence.

The mixer would not operate so I took out the brushes. Work afterwards but was a little noisy so, considering the advanced age of the machine and after doing research, I decided to replace the worm gear and bracket.
I followed the instructional video linked to my email order confirmation. Partselect provided one of the best how-to videos I've ever seen. With the right tools, a little patience and the video, I had an outstanding repair experience.

Burnt brushes
The brushes are located on each side of the tilt head of the mixer. I used a screwdriver to remove the screws, removed the brushes & replaced with the new ones. Runs great again!!
