The silverware holder, knife must have knocked off arm loose, it then fell and burnt on heater element.
1. Removed the burnt residue left on heating element from the spray arm being knocked off when pulling out the silver ware holder/knife . Step 2: Put the spray arm on and Hand tighten in the correct direction- it will lock into place.. Pull up slightly to confirm this step. If it comes off -try again turning in correct direction. arrows on part.3. Ran dishwasher- opened a few times to make sure it stayed on, which it did. I will now be carefully that no silver ware pokes down between the spaces in silverware holder.

Lower Spray Arm fell off and got on the heating element and melted a large hole in it.
Removed the lower dish rack to allow room to reach inside the dishwasher, placed the new Spray Arm in position and rotated the base clockwise and locked it in place. Very easy to do and it works fine.

Spray arms jammed with collected debree.
As washer had been in place for several years, decided to go for new arms rather than clean the originals. Simple twist of the wrist to remove and another twist to install each new one. Slick as a whistle. Seem to work just fine.
Thank you,

Upper spray arm does not seem to have enough preasure to spin on top. Is there a filter that needs to be cleaned. The bottom sprayer turns good enouogh
For model number WDF320PADB1
Hello David, thank you for your question. If the upper spray arm is getting enough pressure to spin quickly and spray the water consistently, I would recommend removing the spray arm and soaking it in warm soapy water. Make sure all of the holes in the spray arm are free of any debris. There is a filter on the unit, so you might also want to remove and clean the filter, part number W10872845. To access the filter, unplug the dishwasher. Open the dishwasher door. Reach in and pull out the lower rack until it is resting on the door, and then remove it and set it aside. Push down on the filter and twist it counterclockwise. Turn the filter until it stops moving, with the tabs released. Pull the filter out of the dishwasher and clean it. I hope this helps!
