Perfect fix!
After the washplate was coming off after almost every load of laundry, a quick look revealed, under all the gross dirt, the threads were stripped. Cleaned everything off with CLR, including the screw, and attached the new plate, and no problems. Easy install and fix

I recently asked this question and received an answer from you, my actual question was are there also supposed to be plastic splines on the larger plastic spinner in the tub that match up with the metal splines on the gear?
For model number WDW5600
Hi George,
Thank you for your follow up question. Yes there are splines on the inner part of the wash plate that go over your transmission. If they have worn down for you would have to replace your washplate. Good luck with your repair.

The wash plate of part #6 keep coming off every time i tighten down the bolt, i can't tell if the inside underneath once had spline or plastics slots to fit on the metal gear and they are now worn down?
For model number WTW5600XW0
Hi George,
Thank you for your question. The splines on your transmission are made of metal. If they have worn down you will need to replace your transmission/gearcase. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
