When this part gets damaged would the oven still show power? Would the control panel show power?
For model number IBS550PWW00
Hi Andres, Thank you for the question. Yes the appliance would still show power at the control panel. This latch just operates the door latch not the control board.Hope this helps!

Have a KitchenAid wall oven KEBC177KSS03 that will shut off when it gets above approx. 300* with it showing door not closed. The door is closed and if I manually push in latch to simulate a closed door it still wont work. When oven cools it will work again as long as it doesn't get too hot. I have been told it may be caused by a faulty latch sister board but am not able to find the part number. Any help would be appreciated

Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. This model does not have a board for the latch, but they have switches that are sold as part of the Latch Assembly, PartSelect Number PS11750101. We hope this helps!

We did a self cleaning and the oven quit. We replaced the thermal fuse and jumpered the control panel fuse and got power to the control panel but the burners still won't power up. We noticed that the latch malfunctioned after the self-cleaning disaster. Would a malfunctioning latch disable power to the burners?
For model number IBS350PXS00 WHIRLPOOL WALL OVEN
Hello Chris, thank you for your inquiry. Based on our research, during a self-cleaning cycle, the oven gets extremely hot to turn any residue or messes into ash. High temperatures of the self-clean cycle may cause the door lock motor and switch assembly, part number PS11750101, to malfunction. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this information is useful!
