The thermal cut off fuse will disrupt the power flow to the drive motor when the dryer gets too hot. If your dryer will not heat properly, or will not heat at all the issue could be with a faulty or damaged thermal cut off fuse. Before you replace the faulty cut off fuse, make sure you disconnect the power from your dryer.

Does this part keep the igniter from starting
For model number Mgdb850wq0
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. The thermal cut off fuse will disrupt the power flow to the drive motor when the dryer gets too hot. If your dryer will not heat properly, or will not heat at all the issue could be with a faulty or damaged thermal cut off fuse. If your igniter is not working, the issue could be either the radiant flame sensor, the coils, or the thermostats. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Gas dryer ignites but only stays lit for 10-20 seconds. Already replaced the gas coils. What else should I try? Stays lit longer if no vent attached. Replaced vent and vacuumed out entire inside of dryer, lint trap, etc.
For model number WGD8000BW0
Hello matt, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the igniter. A Weak Igniter may not stay lit, even when glowing red. The igniter should test anywhere between 50 and 400 ohms of resistance. We hope this helps!

My dryer stops every 2-3 mins, but i can start right up. Do you know what happen?
For model number WGD92HEFW0
Hi Kenny,
Thank you for your question. If the dryer is shutting off too soon, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the internal bias thermostat, the moisture sensor, the coils, the radiant flame sensor and the igniter kit. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Dryer fuse keeps bowing
For model number Whirlpool stackable thin twin
Hi Dana,
Thank you for your question. If the dryer fuse keeps blowing, the exhaust vent is likely clogged with lint preventing air flow in the dryer. Check and clean both the lint filter and the exhaust vent. If the exhaust vent is clear, then the issue is likely the thermostat near the fuse and it will need to be replaced. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
