As some others, this unit beeps and changes screen functions of it's own accord. Part ps11745306 has been replaced but didn't correct the problem. Which do you recommend trying next, ps11745311 or ps11754098??

Hi Tom, thank you for your question. You might need to take a look at your door switches to make sure they are working correctly. They can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Our control panel beeps incessantly, changes functions without touching the key pad, and many times doesn't function at all when functions are selected. I have heard that the replacement part suggested here does not resolve the problem. Suggestions please.

Hi Tony,
Thank you for your question. If the microwave is not working, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the fuse, the door switches, the light socket and the turntable drive. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My KitchenAid microwave panel keeps blinking on/off and showing sponntaneous messages which i believe indicates the need for a replacement control board (ps11745306). Can you provide me with installation instructions to access and replace this component? Thank you.
For model number Kitchenaid - KHMS2056SSS1
Hello Joseph, thank you for your question. To access the control board that is located in the door, you will need to separate the inner and outer door. Using a putty knife, slide the knife between the between the two door panels and gently pry the inner panel loose. This will give access to all the interior door parts. I hope this helps!

Hello, My wife almost caught the microwave on fire while cooking on the stove and the display doesn't work but when i boil water the fan comes on automatically. There is a synchronous motor that i thought might have gotten too hot but i couldn't find it in the schematic on this site. Any suggestions on what i might need to replace?
