Does not fit correctly
Hi, The part is not identical to the original when pushed down it is suposed to be flush to the grill but it is one inch higher than the grill...when released it is too far up it woobles in the hole . The original color is gray identical as the photo at left on this page...the one received the color is beige and is too long. It controls the fan but catches the cooking gloves and plates. thank you.

Our knob to the fan control switch has come off. When we place it back on, with spring in, it won't work properly. How can we put the knob back on so it works properly? Thank you in advance.
For model number jed8430adw
Hello Paul, Thank you for the question. The Spring is not suppose to be able to come out of the knob. It sounds like the knob has been damaged and will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

The knob fan (ps11744720) was insert inside the surface and not available to control the fan. How can-i lift the knob fan so i could control the fan?
For model number JED8430ADW
Hi Roger, thank you for your question. You may be able to lift up the vent grille so that you can get to the knob if it has slipped underneath of the cooktop there. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
