My machine runs great until it gets to a spin cycle. Then it just stops and hums, the agitator tries to turn. If I turn off the switch and turn it back on, it spins. The problem is that at every spin cycle it stops until I push in the switch and pull it out again. I have deduced that the switch is the problem. Could I be right. I have checked the coupler and clutch. So now I'm beating my head against the wall. Any help would be appreciated. Lee

Hi Lee. Thank you for the question. If you are able to turn manually start the cycle by pushing the knob in and and pulling it out again I suggest replacing the timer. Good luck with the repair!

In the heavy duty cycle, the washer fills, i can hear the timer advance it agitates for a second, stops and timer continues to tick...but it does not agitate, nor drain, nor spin. in the normal cycle, washer fills and timer advances at some point it agitates, but does not drain or spin. in the delicate cycle it agitates, and drains and spins. is this a problem with the timer?

Hello Hilary, Thank you for your inquiry. You can test the timer with a multimeter to see if it is causing the issue. It could also be the lid switch. Hope this helps!
