When the shut off arm is high enough the ice maker will shut off and no more ice will be made until the level of the ice in the bin drops. Also the ice maker can be turned off by lifting the arm all the way to the top until in a locked position.

Water ran over into the ice bucket. Also quit making ice

The ice maker arm no longer stays up, therefore the ice machine constantly makes ice.Will a new arm fix this problem?

Hi Kathryn, Thank you for the question. If there is no damage to the ice maker where the arm hooks into,then replacing the arm should fix the issue. Hope this helps!

i do not have my ice maker hooked up. I think something fell into the on/off arm. I have been trying to get the end closest to door back in. Not sure how to fix. I have a picture from inside I could send. Im afraid i could damage something if the maker is not shutting off.

Hi John, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description, we would suggest checking the icemaker mounting screws if it is in place. If that is not the case, then you may have a broken ice mold, part number PS11749915. We would recommend replacing the ice mold to fix the issue. Good luck with your repair!
