What is a 3 in 1 relay and capacitor and where is located.
For model number GD5SHAXMT00
Hello Vincente, thank you for your question. I think you are talking about the Part Number: PS11742477
Overload and Relay Assembly and the Part Number: PS11740412 Combination Start Device. These parts are ordered separately but work together to start the compressor and keep it running. Usually it is recommended that both parts be replaced at the same time. I hope this helps!

My refrigerator /freezer has been working intermitenly. Heard clicking sound and replaced compressor control relay. I was told it could be capacitor but i could not locate a capacitor connected to the relay. there are only 2 wires coming from the relay ( red and white). The diagrams show a capacitor but i can't locate it. I am thinking it could be thermostat instead.

Hello, have noticed when the compressor starts up the lights dim/blink in kitchen. Unit is 18 years old think it may be start kit or capacitor. Thoughts ?
For model number gd5shaxlq02
Hello Todd, thank you for your question. That would most likely be an issue with the start kit. We would recommend replacing that part first. I hope this helps.

Where is the capacitor located and what is the function of it.
For model number 10659042990
Hi Claude, thank you for your question. The capacitor is a device that stores an electrical charge. It is attached to your compressor itself there. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
