Sorry, we couldn't find any existing installation instruction that matched.
The central circle on our dual burner stove top would not turn off
We turned off the circuit breaker for the stove. We pulled the cooktop out of its spot in the counter and lifted it onto its edge. It's pretty heavy and bulky, so it was helpful to have 2 people. One person to hold the cooktop in and one to install the new switch. We removed the bottom protective casing from the cooktop by unscrewing about 8-10 philliips head screws. The switch snaps in place with metal clips that provide tension, so we just pulled the old switch out. We disconnected 2 or 3 short wires by pulling them them out of their metal crimps. The new switch looked exactly like the old switch except there was an extra piece that prevented the new switch from clippinng into place, so we removed this piece and then attached the short wires to the new swtich and clipped it into place in the same orientation as the old switch. We put the metal plate back on the bottom of the cooktop and put it back in place. It worked perfectly and fit perfectly.
