Agitator replacement. ..
The part was in excellent condition and was quickly delivered. After installing it though, the washing machine still grinds. We also replaced the gear assembly and the water pump. Nothing has fixed it??

Auger Assembly on Maytag Washer was missing two agitation fins
I ordered the necessary parts which were so easy to find with Model Number of the Washer, ordered parts on a Tuesday and recieved them on a Friday!, wow was I surprised.
I simply removed the softener dispenser, used a socket set to remove single bolt and pulled broken agitator out and installed the new one after replacing the bolt.

sneakers broke fins off the agitator
I first grasped the fabric softner dispenser and pulled it up and off agitator. I then removed the bolt from the center of the agitator with a 1/2" socket, 8" extension and ratchet. I grasped the agitator assembly and pulled it up and off. Reversed the procedure to install. The bolt can be started by placing a piece of paper towel over the socket, then inserting the bolt into the socket. It will hold it there while you start the bolt. I also took the opportunity to clean the accumulated soap scum from under the agitator while it was disassembled. An easy fix!!!

Remover agitator/Auger assembly. Install new agitator/auger assembly. Washer still would not agitate. Called repairman and found the transmission was bad. Fortunately transmission was still under warranty. 10 year warranty on transmission.

Auger was broken
Needed a medium extension and a rachet a screw driver and a 13mm socket. I used a short screw driver and inserted in it the softer container and lifted it strait up to get the softner container out of the way. I used the medium extension to reach in the auger and loosen the small bolt holding the auger on the machine. Pulled it up and out. Reversed the above procedure and it was set to go. Total time about 8 to 10 minutes. Thank for all the help Kudos to all including Susan W.

Auger top would hit the top lid
The replacement was very easy, just one bolt and RR was a snap. However, the first part that came was defective and I called the 800 number, spoke to the rep and the part came the next day. Excellent customer service, and would do business again

Fans on the Agitator had broken off.
I popped off the fabric softener on top of the agitator. Used an extended arm on my socket set to remove the only nut holding the agitator on the motor assembly apparatus. The agitator came off with ease. Just reversed the procedure in replacing the new agitator. This was an easy job.

Broken fins on agitator.
I went ot the Parts Select web site, and read what other people had done with the same problem. The advice was right on. Using the paper towel to hold the screw in place during reassembly ws great advice. Thanks for the heads- up.

The auger section of this part would no longer stay attached to the lower agitator part due to prior repair work
Use a blade to pop off the fabric softener dispenser cup. Use socket and extension to unscrew the single hex bolt that attaches the assembly to the shaft. Lift off the assembly and recover the flat washer. Install the new assembly over the shaft and install the original hex bolt and washer. Tighten firmly. Snap the dispenser cup back in place.

The top part of my agitator spins all the way around when washing it doesn't do a back and forth motion what could be wrong? The bottom part I can't move when the washer is off so I know its not the transmission. Could it be the directional cog? Or something else?
For model number MAV5000AWW
Hi Rebecca, Thank you for the question. This model does not have cogs, so I suggest replacing the Agitator assembly, Part Number: PS11739488. Sounds like there is something damaged inside the top part of the agitator. Hope this helps!

My washer shakes way too much in spin cycle, one agatater fin has broke off
For model number sav5710aww
Hi James,
Thank you for your inquiry. If one of the agitator fins has broken off, you will need to replace it. The part number for it is PS11739488. If your washer is shaking and moving the agitator is one part that will fix the issue. Some other parts that you may have to look at are the levelling legs, the rubber foot pads, the brake pads, the belt, the friction rings and the springs. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My machine is leaving wet clothes. I replaced the thrust bearings but the transmission shaft turns with the pulley wheel adjustment as if it is too tight. I had to pry the shaft down to attach the c-clamp, drawing everything too tight. What am I doing wrong?
For model number MAV8000AWW
Hello James,
Thanks for your question. We have a video for replacing the transmission bearings and parts with the part number PS2003651 at the following link:

My agitator just goes around clock wise. No agiataion happens. Do the cogs need to replaced or what part should i order. Thanks doug
For model number MAV6000AWW
Hi Doug, thank you for your question. That part is one of the more likely parts that will cause that issue. There are little teeth on the cogs that wear down over time. You would have to replace your agitator to replace those parts. Another set of parts that you would check for wear and tear would be your transmission pulley and bearing kit. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My clothes after wash still wet i already change the drive belt and thurst bearing , it seems the agitator is not move back and forth , can you help please
For model number Mav4500aww
Hi Hao, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you could check. It is suggested that you check your transmission pulley and bearing kit. You may also want to take a look at your drain pump and make sure that it is actually draining properly. If those parts are fine then you may have to start looking at your motor, and the transmission. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Top part of agitator on my Maytag washer comes up during wash is this the part i need?? or do i need to replace the whole agitator? we think we have it pushed back down but then when i do a load, it comes back up.
For model number SAV2555AWN
Hello Kari, thank you for inquiring. This Agitator Assembly is the top part of the agitator for your model. It sounds like you may need the Screw part PS11741598 that holds the bottom of it in. We hope this helps.

I watched your video on how to take apart and re-assemble that was pretty cut and dry. I didn't find any broken parts but the splines inside the agitator were bad on one side. After cleaning everything i re- assembled and it continue to do as before an not agitate. So i need to order a new agitator unit. Is there anything else i should check to see if it needs replaced for the washer to work properly ie agitator, i know the belt is good because i had to put it on spin to drain water and it worked fine.
For model number SAV2655AWW
Hello Barry, thank you for inquiring. You may want to consider the Idler Pulley Wheel part PS11742250, the Idler Pulley Springs part PS11742257, and the Spin Pulley for Transmission Drive part PS2040950. We hope this helps.
