Ice Maker Auger and Crusher Blade Assembly Specifications
This is the replacement ice maker auger and crusher blade assembly for your refrigerator. It is approximately 15 inches long and 7 inches wide. The ice maker auger sits within the ice maker assembly and rotates to push the ice from ice container into the dispenser chute. If your ice maker bucket is full, but ice is not being dispensed, it is an indication that the auger is damaged. Be sure to disconnect power from the refrigerator before you repair the auger. This part is sold individually and is an authentic OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Ice Auger
The auger works great for a few months and then quits working. It is the 4th one I have used over a 2 year period. It is a very simple device that is costly and does not last long. Its about time your start giving me them for free!!

Ice Dispenser had jammed up and become inoperative
The parts discription was a bit vague and I wasn't sure exactly what I was ordering, but I received everything I needed and it works fine. The combination screw conveyor/ice crusher came in one piece. The ice cube bin is a plastic assembly that snaps apart. I used a wide blade screw driver carefully to facilitate assembly/disassembly. Once you have it apart the old converyor slips out and the new one slides in. Do not remove the two screws that hold the new assembly together. You need a phillips scredriver to take out two of the screws from the old assembly and put in the new one. That is, there are four screws and you need to trasfer two of them. Everything now works fine.

The crushed ice agitator kept slipping out of the bracket.
With the repair parts ordered and received from PartsSelect.com, I was able to install a new Ice Bucket and the crushed ice agitator assembly. This simple repair has the refrigerator dispencing ice like new.
I removed the front cover--just popped off with no trouble. Removed 2 screws at the bottom. Slid the broken part out and put the new one in place. Put in the two screws, replaced the fron cover AND Done!!! BTW I am a 65 year old woman and the icemaker is like new.

Fridge missing agitator assembly and ice bucket.
While ordering the assembly, I had thought that the ice bucket was included but it wasn't. So I ordered the ice bucket afterwards. Maybe a little more clarity as far as what parts come in the whole assembly would save some time. All in all, the agitator was very easy to install, along with the ice bucket. After securing the agitator to the existing assembly with two screws, the ice bucket slipped right into place. Easy to install.

Auger not dispensing ice, motor working properly
Firts checked the parts received werer correct for the repair and the correct part numbers ordered. Then removed the ice bucket with the auger in bottom. Emptied ice from original bucket auger assembly. Checked out the removeal of the face cover for the bucket auger and removed it from clips that held it in place. Checked the specifications of the old ice bucket compaired to the new parts. Installed the aurger assembly into the new ice bucket and removed the two screws from the old unit to use in secure the auger assembly in the new bucket. The only tool needed was a 1/4 inch nut driver. Installed the face place on the new ice bucket auger assembly and tested the fit in the freezer. Ran test of the auger assembly without ice to ck for any misinstlled parts. Refilled the ice bucket with ice and tested with ice to complete the repair.
Removed two screws on original ice bucket auger front panel-removed old ice auger assembly from old ice bucket and installed new auger assembly in new ice basket.Replaced ice auger/bucket front panel with the two screws and we now have a working ice dispensing unit and uncracked ice bucket
Ice would not come through door, troubleshot and determined bale mechanism wasn't turning properly.
Removed old agitator unit - 4 nut-head screws removed, and installed new agitator and screws aligned easily.

The ice auger came off of the icemaker helix end cap and i can't get it to attach to the end cap and back into the hole in back of ice bucket.
For model number MSD2651HEB
Hi Alfred,
Thank you for your inquiry. A customer actually wrote in with a set of instructions on how to do this: "Removed the four hex screws from the auger system on the old ice bucket with a socket wrench. Removed the old Helix end cap from the auger system and replaced with the new. Literally just slips on the auger. Reinstalled auger system back onto the new ice bucket. Total time not even five minutes." That is how you would install the auger to the cap and put it back into place. Good luck with your repair.
