Bellow Kit Specifications
Also known as a Door Boot Seal and is used in front load washers. This part is used to keep the clothes inside the tub during the wash cycle. The folds in the bellow allow the tub to move separately from the door during the spin cycle.

Perfect fit!
It was a bit of a challenge to get it back on the machine, but got it on...machine now works great. No leaks around the door! Hint: make sure to get the rubber pushed in all around the existing plastic rims of the washing machine before replacing the retainer springs. Use some large clamps (3-4) to hold the springs in to begin with so they don't snap out when stretching them around the outside to get them back in. Also much easier if the top and front of the machine are removed to get better access for installing the bellow.

Good fit
But, as expected, quite a bit of work to install: the nature of the beast.

Exactly the part i needed
Support was great to identify the exact part i needed. Relatively easy to replace. Too expensive for what it is. Hope i won’t need to replace it again.

Par was Great, Repair was Nightware
Everything was great taking apart, but putting bellow back in and sorting was nightmare. Ny advise is if you have patience like mine hire someone to do it or throw the washer out. It doesn’t help when the guy demonstrating installation has his head in front of the most important part on the video. After fighting with bellow the real fun begins trying to get those stupid dowels to stay in place as they kept firing out almost losing my eyes. After many beer I finally got the spring on and the rest was easy. Not for the handyman that gets frustrated easy. Watch the video before buying, it is a nightmare.

Part works, difficult to install
Definitely watch a video on how to do this. Installing this part is not for the easily frustrated, and requires a fair bit of manual strength. Getting some silicone spray lube would have been a significant help to get the back seal on.

Old Bellow Ripped
remove top of machine by removing 3 screws along the top edge in the back of your machine and then sliding the top back and up. Then loosen the screws holding on the control panel enough to get to the 2 screws at the top of the door panel. Next remove bottom panel by removing 2 screws along bottom edge then pulling it free from snaps. Then along the outside lip of the bellow, just inside the door, is a wire clip that is easily removed by prying it past rubber lip with a screw driver and lifting it away. Remove the door panel by removing the 2 screws you exposed by loosening the control panel and 2 more along the bottom that were exposed when removing bottom panel. After the door panel is removed and the bellow is completely exposed, you will find that it is held in place by a circular spring which wraps the whole way around the drum opening. Again it can be removed by prying it out away from the groove in which it sits with a screw driver. Now your machine is broken down as far as it needs to be. From here you can follow the directions included in your new bellow kit and put it back together by following these instructions in reverse.

Moldy smelly rubber cowl around door.
After viewing the installation video, I decided not to attempt this and caled a repairman. He cautioned me not to replace the rubber if the only reason is the moldy smell. He said that the mold will reappear in a couple of years and that regular cleaning will help combat the problem. He said that replacing the bellows should be limited to necessity such as leaking.

My washer has started making holes. I seen a suggestion that if the below is torn or ripped that it will leave marks. Could this also be causing the holes?
For model number FAFW3511K
Hi Joe, Thank you for the question. It is possible if the bellow if damages it could be allowing the clamps that hold it in place catch the clothing. You should be able to feel around the bellow to see if the clamp is exposed. Hope this helps!
