Solved the issue
Worked great. Washing machine was pausing mid cycle and would finish with clothes not spun dry. Error code indicated water valve likely an issue. Replaced it with this, simple install, now all working well.

Exactly what I needed
Simple replacement and so far the part works perfectly. Though they ship with Purolator which is an absolute pain in the ass to collect from if you don't have a car and can't be home to sign for the package.

machine would not fill on any cycle requiring hot water, Machine would work fine on cold cycles
I Disconnected power to machine and shut off water supply lines. Move washer away from wall and removed supply lines.(good time to replace them if older than five years) Where these supply lines attach to the washer is the water valve you are replacing. There are 3 screws on the back of the cabinet lid, then on the front 3 more screws hold the lid to the plastic control housing. After removing screws you need to slide the lid up and towards the back of the machine app. 1 1/2"to 2" before you can raise the lid up and off of the machine. Once the lid is off it is just one screw holding the valve, and a hose clamp that needs removed from the end of the valve. Then slide valve to the right (looking from front of machine to the back.) I left the wires attached to the old valve, installed the new valve then reattached the wires in the same order as they were on the old valve to avoid confusion. (note valve must slide into place to get screw to line up.)assemble is reverse of the above steps. Don't forget to level machine. Be careful attaching water supply lines plastic valve threads can strip without much effort.

inlets cross threaded from water hose connections
I unplugged the power cord from the wall outlet, then I had to remove the top panel off the machine by removing the three phillips screws holding the back trim strip to the front top of the machine, than I removed the three 1/4 inch head screws holding the top panel found at the back top of machine. I now pulled the top pannel to the rear and removed the top pannel. Then I used pliers to squeeze open and slide clear the small clamp to the rubber hose to the valve and removed the hose end to the valve. Then I carefully pulled off the four wire connectors to the two solenoids of the valve.
Than I removed the one 1/4 inch head screw found on the back side of the machine securing the valve to the machine. Then I removed the valve by sliding it to the mounting screw side to disengage it.
Install the valve in reverse order but I tightened the valve holding screw only till it's seated because it screws into soft plastic. 6/15/08

I replaced the water inlet valve on my GE washing machine, due to water continually running into the machine even when off, based on the trouble shooting outlined in this article. This did not resolve the issue, do you have any other suggestions?
Hi Monte,
Thank you for your question. If you still have water leaking into your washer and you have already replaced the water inlet valve you will need to check, depending on the type of washer you have, the timer or electronic control board and the water level control/water level selector switch or pressure switch. I would also check the water inlet valve again to make sure you did not receive a defective part. You will need to check it with a multimeter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Machine will sit idle at different times during the wash and/or rinse cycle as if its waiting for something then after a while will flash pause.

Hi Donald,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is stopping mid cycle, the issue could be either the door lock or the water inlet valve and you will need to test the parts with a multimeter. Here is a link to one of our videos on YouTube that you may use as a general reference on how to use one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWC44fHn0As. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Water is turned on but washer will not fill. There is a motor sound like something is trying to happen and then a spurt of water goes in then stops.
For model number gfwh2400l0ww
Hi Jo,
Thank you for your question. If the washer will not fill with water, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the water inlet valve and the door lock latch. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Greetings!
Have been noticing when washer filling I will hear a water hammer noise from the pipes supplying the washer. Suspect the inlet water valves/solenoid are the cause. Looking for confirmation or other possible sources of this water hammer affect.
Many Thanks for your time!

My washing machine will not start filling with water. I tried to change out the main control board but it still didn’t work. I was told it might be the inverter that is on the bottom of the machine. Please help

My washing machine does not start filling water. It sounds like he wants to start pouring water into the machine but it won’t. So no water is entering my machine and I have a brand new spicket and my water flow is working.
For model number WCVH6260F0WW
Hi Mark, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Water Inlet Valve to see if it is getting 120VAC. If the valve is getting power but not releasing the water to fill the appliance the valve will need to be replaced. Also check to make sure the screws on the valve are clean. Hope this helps!

My washing machine does not do the cycles well. Under hot water, it runs up to the 1st fast spin and keeps on hold while a small flow of water is coming in to the machine. I see the hot water solenoid opens with a some jerk in the hot-water inlet hose. But, when the system control demands cold water, I do not think it opens the cold-water solenoid because the cold water inlet hose doesn't show any jerk. Will replacing the inlet valve fix the problem. If so, I will order if from you.
