Replaced bad burner
Wasn't sure exactly how to get the top off. Opened the oven door. There are two screws going up into the top. Remove them and the top lifts up. Remove two screws holding the burner. Transfer the wiring over and button it up. No biggy.

Inner ring heats, outer ring does not on this part. Will this work or is it something else?
For model number JB9105sk1ss
Hello Jayne, thank you for your question. The issue could be with the switch that controls that burner, or the burner itself. We would recommend testing both parts to determine which is the issue. Here is a link to show you how to test the switch = https://www.partselect.com/Range-Stove-Oven+Infinite-Switch-Testing+repair.htm. And here is a link that will give you information on testing the element https://www.partselect.com/Range-Stove-Oven+Surface-Burner-Testing+repair.htm. I hope this helps!

Installation instructions on the triple haliant element.
For model number KCB968WK1WW
Hi Henry,
Thank you for your question. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. Then unthread the screws that secure the cooktop to the stove and then prop the top up to access the burner elements. Remove the old element and take note of how the wires are connected. Then install the new element. Set the cooktop back down and secure it with the screws. Restore power to the stove and everything should now work for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
