My fridge is freezing up preventing cold air to go to the unit below. I was told it could be the defrost timer gone bad. I can't find were that unit is on my fridge and or a part number.
For model number FFHI1831QS5
Hello and thank you for writing.
There is no defrost timer for your unit , however, the parts causing this could be the following :
Thermostat PS8769097
Run capacitor PS3495561
Start devise PS4704897
5, you should test the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace as necessary. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

The refrigerator stopped cooling. The freezer is still very cold (5 or so degrees). What part quit working? Is it temp control thermostat, or temp control board?
For model number LFTR2021TF4
Hello Tom, thank you for your query. You may need to check the following parts to fix the issue: defrost thermostat, part number PS6448122, cold control thermostat, part number PS8769007, run capacitor, part number PS3495561, and evaporator fan motor, part number PS12728811. If this does not solve the issue, then you may need to check the temperature control board, part number PS10066164. We hope this sorts out your problem!

This is in the garage. The freezer stopped working and then started and stopped. My service guy said it needed a warming unit because the computer felt it was cold and did not need to work. He came up to do it and said the unit he had would not work for this unit. Is there a warmer that works for this one?
For model number FFHT1821QS0
Hello George,
Thanks for your question. This sounds like it could be related to the run capacitor for the compressor. You may want to test the capacitor with a multimeter to see if it has electrical continuity and replace it if it shows no continuity.
I hope this helps.

Freezer works fine but refer went to below freezing. I turned the slide temp control all the way off, still stayed below freezing. I completely removed slide control and the refer instantly started to gain temp. Controller bad?

Appliances guy replaced thermistor in my fridge because it was constantly running and shutting off very little. Freezer was minus 20 and fridge wasn't cold enough. Since it was replaced themp seems to be all over the place. Freezer Anywhere between -5 to + 20. Fridge between 32 - 55
For model number FFHI1831QS2
Hi Pete, thank you for reaching out. First, you may need to make sure that the thermistor installed is model compatible, and that there is no wiring issue. If that is not causing the problem, then you may need to check the electronic control board, part number PS10066196, as it acts as the brain of the refrigerator and controls all the functions, such as cooling and defrost times. We hope this helps!
