Knowing that there is power to my washing machine, but there is no response from the machine when the power button is touched, I'm assuming that the control panel is out/ is the problem?
Is it difficult to replace the control panel on my own?
For model number MVWB835DW1
Hello Vicki, Thank you for your inquiry. To install this part, pull the control knob off the front of the console panel and move to the back of the appliance. Take out the screws on the top of the back panel. Push the control panel back while using a putty knife under the right corner to release the mounting clip. Do the same thing on the other side. Document where the wires are connected to the control panel before removing it. Install the new part and reconnect all the wires. However, this issue can also be caused by the lid lock assembly, or the electronic control board-which is not included with the control panel. Check the control board for any visible damage or loose connections, and you can test the lid lock switch with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
Hey Joey, thank you for your inquiry. We have researched your model number and found that to remove the panel, you need to slide a putty knife under the right and left sides of the control panel. The panel does curve, so you need a thin, flexible putty knife. Slide it from the front of the control panel under the right end cap to push back on the locking spring below the control panel. Do the same thing to the left side and get the control panel off. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair.

Hi Terry, thank you for the question. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the electronic control board, part number PS11770194, to fix the issue. It manages the washer's functions such as filling, washing, draining and spinning. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Which control panel goes with this machine? Also the washing machine will go through the wash cycle and stop, lid unlocks, and error message comes up F6 E2. I can reset it and turn machine back on and do a quick rinse and spin cycle. Do you think it is a control panel issue or something else? The machine is 5 years old.
For model number MVWB835DW4
Hello Lynn, thank you for your inquiry. According to our research, the error code F6 E2 indicates that there is an issue with the appliance control unit, user interface or associated wiring. We would recommend checking the wire harness of the control panel whether it is not shorted. If this is not the issue, we would suggest replacing the control panel, part number PS12114257, to solve the problem. We hope that helps!
