This is dave again; i installed a new door switch and checked the wiring; it did the same thing as before and just shuts off after 6 minutes (usually)
I then bypassed all the parts available one at a time and it still did the same thing? However, i do notice a slight brownish coloring around 3 small resistors (r121, 122 & 113)on the power board, just above the four terminal plugin (1. White wire door switch common terminal 2. Brown/yellow door switch no terminal & to drum blower motor 3. Purple to idler switch 4. Black to drum lamp.Magellan dryer power pcb

Hello Dave and thank you for writing.
This certainly sound like you have a short on that board.
Main power board PS3487192 and yes, it might interfere with the user interface board PS1482259, they are sold separately. You should check the interface board for signs of shortages as both boards could have been damaged. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
Dryer is turning on. All lights work, but the tub doesn't start when button is pressed. Front display shows "Drying" timer runs down like normal. Door switch is working normally. Dryer is not getting warm.
My first thought is it's motor time.

Hi Jeff, thank you for getting in touch. First, you may need to make sure that the start switch is not loose or damaged. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to check the motor and blower assembly, part number PS11759038, as it is most likely faulty and may need to be replaced. Glad to be of assistance!

My GE elect dryer will always turn on when it's cold, but lately it will only stay on for 5 minutes or so.
Occasionally, if my wife slams the door (ah!), it will turn on momentarily, would I need the door switch or a thermal fuse, or? The duct is clear and I vacuumed as far up as possible through the back and front with a crevice tool. Please advise, so I may order the correct part(s). Thank you

Hello Dave, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the wiring for the Door Switch PartSelect Number: PS2344321 and ensure it is secure. If the wiring is good, you may need a new switch. Hope this helps!
It was pretty easy. After already taking apart the dryer to install a new belt I knew exactly my plan of action. I removed the two screws that hold the top panel of the dryer to the front panel. I then removed the top panel and removed the screws that hold the front to each side panel. I than pulled the front away from the cabinet and drum. I put the new slides in place and installed a new felt strip. I put it back together and that was that. Very easy.
1. Removed top cap on lid by removing the 3 - phillips screws. 2. removed front digital display panel from PC board. 3. removed bolts with nut-driver on the top of the front panel, removed bottom screws with #2 square bit. 4. removed "snap-in" plastic top bearing ( paying attention to where wiring is routed within this frame. 5. cleaned all areas of plastic and felt debris, installed new bearing, felt, and glides. 6. Re-installed all wiring and panels.
*** make sure to order all of the glides, there should be a total of 4 for the top assembly.
First of all, unplug the dryer. I removed the two screws on the front of the cabinet to remove the top. I then took out the screws to remove the dial panel. Release the belt for the drum through the access hole in the rear of the dryer. Remove the front cover and pull the drum assembly out.
Remove the element disc from the rear of the housing, take note of the the wireing placement. Replace disc and reverse order of disassembly.
This job was easy for me as I am a tinkerer by nature. The hardest part of the whole job was waiting on the part, which by the way was ordered on a Sunday evening and I had the replacement in my hands and back in the dryer running by 1:00 PM on the following Tuesday!
